Sri Sai Trust (also referred to as “we” or “our” below) is committed to providing privacy for its web site visitors including donors as well as email recipients (also referred to as “you”, “your” or “user”). We promote opt-in emails and privacy among our partners and employees. We are continuously evaluating our internal procedures and technology to ensure privacy at all levels in our organization.

Type of information collected from users of the website

For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” as defined under Section 2(i) of the SPI Rules means any information that relates to a natural person, which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available with a body corporate, is capable of identifying such person.

“Sensitive personal information” as defined under section 3 of the SPI Rules means such personal information which consists of information relating to:

  2. Financial information such as Bank account or credit card or debit card or other payment instrument details;
  3. Any detail received under above clauses by body corporate for processing, stored or processed under lawful contract or otherwise.

We require the users who register to our Website to give the following type of information:

  3. Residential Address;
  4. Phone Number;
  5. Credit card/debit card/demand draft/wire transfer information required to be furnished by donors while making donations.
How the collected information will be used

Sensitive personal information and other Personal Information collected will be used in the manner described below:

  1. Name: The user's name shall be used to personalize all communications sent by us.
  2. E-mail address and residential address: Your email address will be used to communicate regular updates on any programs or events conducted by Sri Sai Trust . Also, updates with relation to the monthly newsletters published by Sri Sai Trust will be made available to you via your e-mail address. Your e-mail address/residential address will be used to communicate any confirmation/acknowledgement of donation made.
  3. Phone number: The phone number will be an alternative method to contact the user regarding updates on programs or events conducted by Sri Sai Trust and also to provide updates on the newsletters published by Sri Sai Trust.
  4. Credit card/debit card/wire transfer information: The credit card/debit card/wire transfer information is collected solely to secure the donations made by the donor(s).
Information Tracked

We may use your IP address when necessary to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our web site. We also may track browser types to help us understand our visitors’ needs related to our web site design. There are registration and application sections of our web site where input forms require your name, e-mail address and other information. By submitting such forms, you give us permission to send email messages to you containing information relating to your interest in Sri Sai Trust . All our communication will have an option to opt-out from them by clicking on the Unsubscribe tab.
